Graham Cracker-style Pie Crust

  • 1 c. finely chopped walnuts (pecans or other nuts would also work)
  • 1/3 c. sorghum flour
  • 1/3 c. brown rice flour
  • 1/3 c. arrowroot starch
  • 1 t. guar/xanthan gum
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces


  1. Grease a springform pan or pie plate.
  2. Food process the walnuts until they finely chopped.  Add sorghum flour through sugar and process until mixed well.  Add butter, a few pieces at a time, until incorporated.
  3. Using your hands, spread mixture into the pan and press down until evenly distributed.  Fill with any filling.  (This does not have to be baked)
